New Feature

Some people have been confused by HBB's new feature. I just thought I'd write real quick to clarify. When you click on the "Install" button under a background the code automatically is copied to your clipboard. All you have to do is follow the instructions and paste the code into the Html/Javascript gadget. No need to copy the code anymore! Aint that great?

For months and months me and my husband have been using every second of our free time to completely re-do HBB. Well guess what? The time as finally come and it is LIVE! Is this really true? Doesn't feel real to me, but I'm beyond excited about it.

Backgrounds Deleted

As you may have noticed the backgrounds that were hosted on Photobucket are no longer showing up (just as I warned last week and HERE is the post about it). If you have gotten the new code, but you still have the Photobucket image on your blog saying that your background has been deleted then you still have the old code on your blog. Please make sure to remove that old code or it will STILL NOT WORK. :)

HBB Buttons

If any of you lovely supporters have one of my buttons on your sidebar could you please head on over HERE and grab the new code? Otherwise there might be an ugly Photobucket image in its place soon. :)

This saddens me...

Unfortunately, my worst nightmare has happened yet again. Photobucket now is saying that I am using too much of their bandwidth to host my pictures with them. YIKES! Don't worry though...this time we have made the code versatile and your background will never be affected in the future. I wish we had known about this fix before this happened, but we really had no idea it would happen again. Now we're ready!

If the background currently on your blog has an image saying your background will be removed you will just need to find your old background (or a new one) and grab the new code before August 1st. Please make sure to delete the old code as well. If your background has the HBB tag your background is fine and ignore this warning! :)

I am so very sorry for the inconvenience. As you may have realized this has happened to most major free background sites and it is a real big bummer.

If you cannot find your old background please email me with the old background code and I will give you the new code.

I just want to say THANK YOU for all of you that support my website. I am able to make a little bit of money from home while I raise my new little son and it really means a lot. Because of you guys I am able to be at home with my little one. How much better can it get? Doing something you love and being able to be with your baby because of it? I am so grateful and so happy! Here is a family photo we had taken a couple weeks ago with our little one.

Having Issues?

If your background is no longer showing up on your blog, please follow these steps:
1. Find your background again at Hot Bliggity Blog
2. Replace your existing background code with the new code.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Today we found out that we are not allowed to host images on our hotbliggityblog.com Dreamhost account that are available to the general public. It is causing issues with other customers who use Dreamhost. We have moved all of our images to photobucket, so we need you to re-install the code for your background to show up.

We are so very sorry for the inconvenience! Email us at contact@hotbliggityblog.com with any questions or concerns. If you leave your concern on a blog comment I will not be able to contact you to help you with the issue.

(Note: make sure to DELETE the old code. If you neglect to do this the new background will not show up!)

I had to take off all of the backgrounds from one designer since they didn't want their backgrounds on any longer. If you cannot find your original background chances are it was one made from this designer. I am terribly sorry, but you will have to pick a new background. :(

Bandwidth Problems

Due to the sudden popularity of Hot Bliggity Blog, we have exceeded our bandwidth on one of our Photobucket accounts. We have moved the images to our servers and updated the codes, but the image you are currently using may be temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience! All "Bandwidth Exceeded" backgrounds will reappear on the 4th of June. In the meantime, please feel free to find your background again (or a new one!) and copy/paste the new code into your HTML/Javascript gadget. That should fix it!

There have been quite a few changes in the last week or so here at HBB! First and foremost, we've been updating the site with new backgrounds almost daily - click the image below to view our newest!

We've also done the following:

- Opened advertising opportunities. (Only $5.00 for one month - we got over 16,000 hits last month! Estimated hits this month: 30,000.)

- Nearly free PERMANENT blog/site advertising opportunity by donating $1.00 towards our hosting bill.

- Links We Love page

We also added a quick link to help you Bookmark our site on Delicious. (See the bottom of the sidebar on our website.) And last but not least, we added text links to navigate our site on the bottom of each page! You'll never get lost again. :)
